Westie Joy is a nice, cozy event. It's not too big, the location is really good, and the social dancing is very enjoyable. There were some additional pre-event activities to get to know the city and other Westies a bit better. I was impressed by the venue. Very nice floor, and very good heat management. Considering it was very hot (upto 38°C) outside, this was seriously well done. That said, the lead-follow balance was off, and the main floor could get quite crowded. There was a second room for social dancing, but almost nobody used it, which was a real shame. The music during socials and comps was of mixed quality, with notable exceptions of Annaliese's and Nevena's sets, which were really nice. Saturday night between ~10 and ~4 was especially bad, with hours of heavy songs without much variation. I enjoyed the competitions. Especially the Hi-Lo J&J, which you don't see often. Vibe was good, not overly competitive. For a first edition, I think Westie Joy was very well done. Of course there are things to be improved, but overall the organizers can be very proud!

It was such a cool trial edition and overall a very enjoyable event. I had some amazing social dances throughout the weekend, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the community. The Wolffs's workshops was amazing as always. Unfortunately, I couldn’t attend the workshops on Sunday, so I can’t really give feedback on those. The schedule was well thought out and the organization worked quite smoothly overall. There were some delays during the competitions, but nothing major enough to negatively affect my experience of the event. I also really appreciated all the little details and goodies for the participants. Such a nice touch and made the event feel even more special. The collaboration with Your Dance Body and the Team Challenge was another highlight for me. As always, it added a really fun and engaging element to the weekend. For a trial edition, I think it was a really successful event with a great atmosphere, good social dancing and lots of thoughtful little details. I’d definitely be happy to come back for another edition!

Westie Joy is located in a nice, central location in Bucharest, with plenty of grocery stores and restaurants nearby, which makes the area very convenient. The venue itself was good. The floor was okay, the temperature was comfortable, and the music was generally very nice. The atmosphere was one of the highlights for me - welcoming, warm, and friendly. There was a Wi-Fi issue during the competitions. However, this was not the organizers fault, so I wouldn’t consider it a big negative, and it didn’t affect the schedule much. Romania itself is a beautiful country, so I’d definitely recommend extending your trip if you have the time to explore the mountains or the seaside.

So well organized trial event. Very nice friendly organizers, and comunity which brought lots of joy! Loved atention that was put into details, like customized metal engravings that were visible all around, even at the edges of the floor! Event hotel might be expensive, but it was so refreshing not to be 'close to the airport-but far from the city' venue - in other words, location was so convenient for both super close alternative acomodations and everyting you need around (groceries, pharmacies, restaurants, fast food...). I really loved water points with all sorts of temperatures, because after intese traveling summer, I started feeling a bit cold when I arrived here, so having hot water during event saved mee, and actually, not many events have that, so it was a huge organizational plus for me when I saw it (thank you!). Also loved printed stickers so much! Looking forward to next edition already!

If you ever wondered what experiencing true joy feels like, then you need to join this event! The most notable highlight for me was the end of the event, after the last survivors picture, where everyone hugged everyone and thanked eachother for the experience. So wholesome and something I didn't experience at other festivals. Can't wait for next year!
