Baltic Swing had the perfect balance I look for in an international event: medium-sized, big enough to feel vibrant but not overwhelming. It took place in a beautiful historical city centre, yet you could still easily make a trip to the seaside. Everything you might need was within walking distance, there were plenty of affordable Airbnb options nearby. There was lots of time for social dancing, and the Rueda was super fun.

I really enjoyed Baltic Swing 2026. Friendly staff, nice venue, great teaching professionals. Next year let’s hope the weather cooperates for the beach party to happen. However, the backup plan was a WCS Rueda circle dance workshop that was great fun! The secondary dance area by the bar was cool to get some different vibes (like when PJ Turner was DJ’ing and dancing). Gdansk is a nice tourist destination. We ate many different pierogis at the local pierogarnias, climbed the church tower for a panoramic view of the area and explored the ship museum and the canals area. Wayne and Aggie, thank you so much for organizing a great event and looking forward to next time at Baltic Swing!

The event is very well organised and there are plenty of activities to do. A little bit too crowded for me, especially the second room is so small. And there wasn't rubber bands this year sadly. But overall i would totally recommend!

1st international event coming from the United sates Signup/Register: you sign up with a partner and you have to be on it, I think they sold out within 15min of opening up the registatration online. Workshops: are leveled and you get 2 workshops a day (awesome instructions with a variety of instructors you pretty much get all lessons from the advertised pros) Location: The town is beautiful really nice to walk around the marketplace Travel: Lots of coinvent ways to travel I flew and caught the bust for about 2$ and then it was 100m walk to the hotel. Hotel: I probably wouldn't stay at the hotel again its a nice hotel but the event schedule gives you enough time to be at a different location for far cheaper, most people stayed a 5min walk at another hotel, and the location is safe enough where you can do so.. the sun comes out at 3am. Dancers: the dancers generally brought enthusiasm to the dance and you felt like you are really both in sync and enjoying the love of the dance, I would say several newer dancers told me people did become more selective about asking to dance as the weekend went on, the newer dancers say they would still get dances if they asked but the more veteran dancers would not ask them to dance once they have already danced and saw their level of dance. Overall its a really nice event and beautiful city, I would definitely attend baltic swing again given the chance.
