Generally a well organized event with very cute Bavarian traditions incorporated 🥹 I love that there is a bar area that also sells healthy snacks (and vegan options YAY!) for a reasonable price. Cafes and restaurants were close to venue, very convenient. The main ballroom is gorgeous and has an amazing floor. In terms of location, Munich is a great city that I will always want to come back to. Thank you MCs for bringing such great energy to the room! One thing I missed was beanbags/seats outside the main ballroom where participants could relax and mingle comfortably. Competition marshaling felt a bit chaotic on Saturday sadly. Music during parties was fine, though felt a little discordant in terms of flow. Can't say I was a huge fan of the competition music for the J&Js which didn't feel level-appropriate at times.

Bavarian Open is one of those events that has something unique. In the case of this event, they’re going all-in on the Bavarian theme: there’s a fun JnJ (Sepp&Heidi) where you’re encouraged to wear traditional Bavarian outfits, and where the winners tap the beer keg (yes, there’s a beer keg), the award trophies are gingerbread hearts, and there were pretzels and beer. While I find the main ballroom overcrowded until like 2am, the floor and temperature are both good! I’d also recommend to my Novice peers to sign up for a party pass instead: crowded Novice workshops just aren’t fun. I’ve been there last year, and my experience with a party pass this year was way better! Also, you should to consider accommodation: It’s the week before Oktoberfest, so accommodation is more expensive than it already is. The venue is next to an underground station (U4/U5) though, so getting to the venue is not a problem!

I loved the local vibe and Bavarian traditions incorporated in the event (welcome pretzels and beer!) Main room gets quite crowded at the times though. The location is central and easy to reach.
