Wow, just wow! 😍 4 floors of dancing! Dancers of different styles to mix and match with! Rotating music of different styles to mix and match with! Basically "late-night" music the whole time (either slowish wcs, vibey Zouk jams, or suuuuper interesting Tango music) was a gold mine for me. Groceries/restaurants/parks all nearby. I found the most enjoyment by trying to prioritize dancing with Tango/Zouk/Contact dancers, or dancing to the different music and experimenting with the different movements I'd learned in the workshops. It was such a wonderful event precisely because it challenged you to dance with people that didn't necessarily know your style, or because it was to atypical music! It inspired me to start hosting some Swouk parties, or introduce some Tango music in our local dances. The workshops were really nice because they started out slow, exposed you to the dance, challenged you with stuff to try, and then built on and incorporated the previous class' movement into WCS! The location (including the preparty) was really cool, and the multiple floors really lent itself well to what the event was trying to accomplish. The music of each floor rotated between styles which was really good so you could still find dancers of each kind on each floor. I really hope they incorporate some glow wristbands or something so it's easier to find the different styles (I kept finding westies), but also so I can watch people of two different styles dancing and how they work together! It was really cool to see the videos that inspired the teachers, especially the ones from different styles, I really enjoyed being exposed to their expertise in that way, and what they drew inspiration from - a completely different world. The "pro show" was my absolute favorite, seeing all the pros explore movement between themselves together. That was really, really special. I want to see them mess up and explore, I want to see that non-polished exploration with one another!

Very singular concept and one could really feel how J'em poured their heart and soul into this. In hindsight, it was not the right event for me at the time, but the FOMO got to me and I just couldn't miss an event on home soil... But I've heard great things from other people and did have some amazing dances. I was hoping for a clearer separation between dance styles and music throughout the evenings, to relax into things I know and then intentionally explore but this got changed last minute (which I heard most people actually enjoyed) but for me, the often fused music and dancefloors were challenging. The temperature and humidity got too high for me to dance a lot unfortunately. Otherwise very cute venue and great to have the option to get food there. I really enjoyed the video / history hour! Overall: interesting concept, wrong time for me. Might revisit at a later time in my WCS journey.

I really liked the vibe of the event and the atmosphere. As it was all in one house and a garden it felt very social. Crash courses for different styles were great. I struggled at the parties a little bit with asking people to dance which I usually don't because of different dance styles. I was more in the mindset of dancing westcoast and influencing it with other dance styles than wanting to dance fusion. I think you get most out of the event if you dance other offered styles as well.

Overall, very nice event. The floors changing dance styles was a minor inconvenience though.
