As a party-pass, late-night dancer, I didn't like this event, and wouldn't go again. The parties ended early, the music was good, but I had to complain multiple times about the competing Salsa music the next floor over (first night was fine) - you couldn't hear any of the late-night songs. Poor event organization, I complained about it as it made it basically undanceable and really soiled my experience. Got to see other dances for the show, kinda cool, maybe, but it was overshadowed by not many food options around the venue, and then it really doesn't have a cozy WCS vibe like many of the other Europe events.

I attended EDF with a 3-day party pass (Thursday–Saturday). Overall, my impression of the event is positive, and I would like to return next year, though there are some specific aspects regarding the WCS experience that could be improved. Venue & Organization: The venue is huge, comfortable, and very well-organized. The competitions and shows were well-planned and easy to watch. Most attendees stayed in nearby hotels or pensions, which are conveniently located within a 5-minute drive or a 20-minute walk. Social Dancing & Schedule: Compared to regular WCS-specific events, there was relatively less social dancing time. On Thursday and Friday, the WCS floor stayed quite empty until 10:00 PM due to shows in other styles. On Saturday, the party didn't truly get started until around 12:30 AM following the J&Js (including a Teachers J&J not listed on the schedule), and ending at 3:00 AM felt quite early. I would love to see the parties continue longer. Music & Environment: The music situation was a bit challenging. We could often hear music from the other dance floors, which was distracting. The WCS DJ sets featured an unusual amount of experimental tracks; while I enjoyed some, it felt like a bit much. Additionally, the energy stayed very high even an hour before the party ended, rather than transitioning into a late-night groove. Floor & Dance Level: The dance floor needs attention, as there were several noticeable bumps in certain areas. Also, because many attendees have other primary dance styles, the general WCS level was considerably lower than at a dedicated WCS festival. In summary, while the event is massive and professionally run, it feels a bit more like a general dance convention than a WCS festival. If the social dancing hours were extended and the floor quality improved, it would be a much better experience for WCS dancers.
