It was worth going there for the Robert Royston’s intensive alone! Absolutely fantastic. The venue was beautifully decorated and in a good location. The music in the bar was superb, but the floor was way too sticky/inconvenient for my shoes (which are usually good almost anywhere). The main ballroom was quite crowded most of the time. The Dungeon left me in a confused feeling- sometimes the music didn’t do it for me, the sound was questionable at times as well (couldn’t hear properly). The temperature and the floor weren’t often convenient either. The teachers and classes were top notch! I absolutely loooooved the schedule. It was very smartly planned, there was time to rest and reset, I really appreciated that. The competitions were held in two different buildings, therefore, if you wanted to attend intermediate and novice divisions, that would not have been possible. But this way they went quite quickly. The Pro shows were fantastic and hilarious. The downside of the event is that if you don’t have a group to register with, there’s a very small chance to get in as it sells out in seconds. Overall, I liked the teachers and classes + Pro shows, but it felt a bit too crowded for me. Also, the balance of the leads/follows seemed a bit weird. During the auditions, in the lower levels almost mainly leads were transferred to higher levels. On Sunday, there were extremely way more leaders than followers during the first classes (followers slept in probably).

King Swing is a very well-organized event, and I totally get why so many people love it and come back year after year. Great shows, teachers, and theme — and Kraków is a beautiful city! One downside for me was having separate locations for workshops and competitions — it’s not always convenient and doesn’t always work smoothly. Also, the socials at the main venue felt quite crowded, and the main dance floor was very stuffy.

I really enjoyed King Swing. Such a whimsical, fun event. I loved having multiple rooms to choose from with different styles of music (blues room 😍) the location was really nice, I loved exploring Krakow with the tour guide. Comps went smoothly, good dj's really lovely 😊

One of my favourites — especially when you got some spare time to visit the city. Floor (main ballroom) was excellent (!), partys were great with three floors to chose from. MC-ing could have been a little quicker (less talk, more dancing… ;))
