2025 edition

My first WSDC festival, and booked very last minute, after 2.5 months of learning WCS. Was not sure what to expect. Had an accessible venue from where I lived. Multiple rooms but intermixed with zouk. Location was a school gym hall, which was ok I guess, I had no expectations, but neither did I have decent shoes. Event was not role balanced, and observationally there were quite a lot of waiting followers. Good that there was a zouk option. Temperature control was non-existent, it got pretty hot in there. Lots of diverse food options with Camden Market just a few minutes walk away. Met many people from my weekly dance community there. Also met many new faces from the wider WCS community. First ever workshop with global pros JEm! That was the most awesome experience coming face to face with champs I've ever only seen on social media. Did my first newcomer J&J here, which was an experience. Met many new friends, everyone was so friendly, it was such a camaderie. The intermix with the Zouk crowd was interesting, but not my main focus. But I like the optionality.
