One of the best events for social dancing at an WSDC event, such a great parties! I think the survival picture of sunday evening says it all, it looked like the event group picture, but it was at 04h00 on Monday morning! There are 2 great spacious ballrooms, with good floor for dancing during party's. Several rooms for workshops with top teachers. Competitions on Friday and Saturday afternoon/evening, not much time for dinner if you are in finals, because there is no break between prelims and finals and divisions run in parralel, but therefore you have more time for social dancing in the evening and it's starts relatively early at an WSDC event, which is very nice! Freiburg im Breisgau is a lovely city, but book accomodation early if you want to be on walking distance from the venue Balhaus Freiburg. Overall, one of the best WSDC events for social dancing, so don't hesitate to come next year and see you there!

First time at an event of this size. Organization was largely good and efficient - only exception changed rooms on short notice, likely due to unexpected large contigents of dancers of different "levels". Found the syllabus odd though - newcomer workshop level with a min of one point? Would have appreciated dedicated workshops for comp beginners, but "social" is an odd name for the pointeless competitors classes. Staff was top notch though. Learning from well-know teachers, granted - English language a must though. Ballrooms, mostly air-conditioned (except a few where people opened doors to outside). Ballhaus Freiburg is great for that. Big Thanks to Chris and all the team. See you again next year, latest.

Big event with many amazing international dancers. Easy to reach from France and Germany, but probably a little tougher from more far away. The venue is slightly outside the center but Fribourg is small and charming. Lots of space to dance in the evening (with the exception of the last 3 songs on Sunday) and I found it easy to connect with dancers of any level and any country. I appreciated the division between social and competition focused workshops! The venue was a bit humid and hot at moments, but I still consider the temperature management good for a big event during the hottest time of the year. Organisation run smooth even with very crowded competitions. The pro line up is great and the event is fully run in English.
