2026 edition

Revitalise is my home event. it represents the new era of Melbourne West Coast Swing, and a return of this great city's community to the national stage. Malvern town hall is an absolutely gorgeous historical building; Its such a beautiful venue and thankfully that beauty comes with underlying function; plenty of space to dance, good quality dance surface, a dedicated bar area, a child-care area, a mezzanine to watch everything from, fun lighting and lots of space to stow everyone's gear. Plus, its never too hot in the venue, as the venue has great ventilation and the event is in the middle of the mild Melbourne winter (something I'm really appreciating after a few heat-wave events in Europe with no AC). Its really cool that Cocobella sponsor the event and provided free rehydration drinks over the duration. Its not alway easy to get good quality hydration drinks from any given supermarket, so to have them available, tasty, effective and FREE was a massive boon. One of the most unique and enduring offerings of the event is the "warm and fuzzies" wall, a set of little envelopes where you can leave notes for every participant at the event! Its so sweet to be able to drop little notes about a magic dance you had, about how someone supported you during the highs and the lows of an event weekend, or how someone's presence had just made your event experience just that little bit brighter. I've never seen an event in the US, Australia or Europe do something like it, and I really hope it keeps being a part of the revitalise experience.
