2026 edition

What made my first and rather spontaneous Swingmany experience truly exceptional to me wasn’t just the dancing ~ it was the people and the culture they created. From the very beginning, there was a genuine sense of hospitality that went far beyond good organization. It was the countless small gestures: delicious homemade cake, freshly prepared sandwiches, live musicians during the musicality workshops, and so many thoughtful details that reflected how much care had gone into creating this weekend. Knowing that all of this was made possible by such a small team made it even more remarkable. It never felt like people simply organizing an event. It felt like people sharing something they genuinely love. Individually, those details were wonderful. Together, they spoke volumes about the people behind the event. They revealed something even more meaningful: a culture of genuine hospitality. As someone who joined Swingmany on short notice and solo, I never once felt alone. It was remarkably easy to connect with people, and before long, I no longer felt like just another participant ~ I felt like I belonged. The workshops, socials, and music were fantastic. Having live musicians during the musicality workshops wasn’t just a memorable highlight ~ it reflected the same creativity, attention to detail, and genuine love for dance that could be felt throughout the entire event. What stayed with me most, though, wasn’t a particular workshop or a dance. It was the atmosphere created by everyone involved ~ from the organizers and volunteers to every dancer who helped make this community feel so welcoming. Some events leave memories. This one leaves a feeling.

Though we had midday temperature well beyond 30 celsius, most romms were air-con‘ed. A plus was the taktgefuel dance school venue with ample space, and a large terrace (bid sun umbrellas. Food/drinks hassel-free, bücash or apple/google,pay. Great selection of instructors. Not just pattens, but also technique im classes. 4 skill levels from newbies romseasomed dancers.

2026 edition

Excellent Music due to the live band portion. One of the few very rare dance music bands with good quality music. Loved that this place has aircon rooms, sad for the other half of the event without aircon (that‘ll hopefully change with the new venue next year). Loved the teachers and how they adapted to the crowds individual levels. This was the event in the past year I learned the most.
