Huge ballroom, not as bilingual as advertised but in the end doable. Halloween Strictly was a lot of fun to do, but the 'games' in the finals took way too long and 90% in French. But one-on-one at the everyone easily switched language to include non-French speakers. Fun workshops with great teachers. Many hours of comps and shows. If you want to dance socially and get some sleep as well, maybe not for you. Rather expensive, especially the hotel, but easily located because I don't find Liège the best city to walk by myself at night. Might be something to consider. I liked it enough, but not sure if I would go again.

It was a very well-organized event and the quality of production was high. The organizer could easily be contacted if assistance was needed. A big however: This event was definitely catered to the French-speaking community even though it was advertised as a bilingual event. Save one pro couple for the workshops, all were only partially translated into English. MC mostly spoke in French during the strictlys. It didn’t feel very inclusive for dancers not within the community already or had ties to the community. I enjoyed the workshops but would not go again for reasons above

I really like that there’s a dance event so close to the Netherlands — it makes it easy to attend without long travel. However, I would strongly recommend going by car. Getting there by public transport is quite inconvenient. I would definitely suggest booking the official event hotel. Yes, it’s more expensive, but it makes the whole experience much more comfortable and saves a lot of time and effort. The venue is beautiful, the dance floor is excellent, and there are many very strong dancers attending, which creates a great atmosphere and high-level social dancing. There are only two main drawbacks. First, all the workshops are conducted in French, and you have to specifically ask for English translation. Many participants felt shy about doing that. Special thanks to Miguel, who always teaches in English if there is even one dancer who doesn’t speak French — which is important, since this is an international event and there were always several non-French-speaking dancers present. Second, the show-hosting segments were overly long and felt quite drawn out. Overall, still a very worthwhile event to attend. Already registered for 2026!

Workshops had a good content and event was well organised. Nevertheless it is better for local communities and French speaking people as it was not much English friendly.

Low on my priority list. Staff is super friendly though and it is very well organized Dancers are not very open to dance with "strangers" and the bilangual workshops are annoying for non-French dancers.
