Very well organised event, high quality floor and plenty of space to dance. Biggest downside is the location, being close to Heathrow Airport is helpful for international travellers but limits any local sightseeing, access to a supermarket, and very limited food options outside of getting delivery. The social dancing was good, all in one room and only felt too full at peak times after performances. I liked that there was also carpeted space off the dance floor with lots of chairs and beanbags for breaks and socialising. Hotel buffet breakfast was tasty, with plenty of vegetarian options, easy to take food for later and included in the room rate. L4 (Intermediate) only had 5 levelled workshops, compared to 7 for L3, with two being scheduled for Friday afternoon. This felt a little unfair given the passes were the same price across these two levels. Workshop sizes at this level were relatively small (~20 couples) which allowed for quality feedback and learning. L4 workshops were relatively close to role balanced, however on the social floor there were often excess followers

This was an extremely well organized event that ran on time and very smoothly. Staff were available to answer questions quickly both online and on site, which was greatly appreciated! Dancers were open and friendly to other Westies from different countries and communities which always feels so nice, so thank you for the warmth fellow UK Westies!! 🫶 Workshops had themes that could be applied on the social and competition floors! The blues/jazz/workshop by Robert Royston was simply amazing (though this is hardly a surprise…) Social dancing was super fun with good variety of DJ sets (though some songs were repeated a few times in one night). Floor was great though slightly crowded at times. Venue ran warm Thursday night but improved in subsequent days! There were defo quite a few extra follows so leads had to work hard 😉 MCs were hilarious and amazing, and thank you Ryan and everyone at marshalling for making competitors feel at ease. Your energy was everything!!! A few points for consideration: - Workshop size for L3 was massive. Organizers decided to open up L2/L3 so there was no division between dancers with and without novice points. Therefore workshop material sometimes felt inappropriately levelled - Organizers gave out very very few wristbands for L4 (because of L4 workshop room size) Overall I loved this event and would 100% recommend. See you again UK Champs!!

Great, well-organised event with great teachers and good social dancing! The event runs very smooth, without any delays. The location is next to Heathrow airport, which is convenient when flying in, but still might take 10-30 min to get to the hotel. Inside the hotel great rooms for dancing: one bigger dance floor and one tiny. On Thursday party only one floor was open which was challenging in terms of space and temperature, but other days it became better. Enough chill zone as well to rest during socials. The classes are good, but in the auditions almost no bracelets (=promotions) were given, so the classes in combined level 2/3 were veeery crowded. On Sunday there was a fun All-Brexit competition as well. Overall, a great experience, fun and well executed event!

One of the biggest and most prominent WCS Festivals in the UK obvious demanded good quality. Big floor, multiple rooms, good space, live streaming, excellent staff. Second time with in this event space and with this ED. Was more familiar with the location, layouts, and also the festival limitations, so was a much more comfortable experience this time round. I wholly appreciated the multitude of optional workshops that were on offer: from RoRo's rundown on the historical highlights for WCS, to Clara Deiter's very informative 'Performance under Pressure' talk. KP & Bryn's Novice choreo was also very learnable. The quality of Westies who attended were also very high, and it was amazingly fun.

Uk community is my favourite so far! I love how friendly everyone is and how I feel welcomed even if I come alone to the events. Will be back for sure!
