2025 edition

UpTown Swing was a really great experience. It was my first time there and I've really enjoyed what Ibi did. The Venue is really really nice and well decorated. The hotel and breakfast are top tier! The parties were cool a bit crowded at times. Same for some open workshops, but the A/C handled it beautifully. Loved the personal touches and side quests with table tennis and board games and puzzles. The vibe is really nice and although I was a bit skeptical at first about the choreos that were prepared over the weekend, it turned out to be a really cool activity that participants can take part in and have some fun on Sunday.

2025 edition

I enjoyed Uptown Swing a lot. It's a great hotel and looks beautiful in the lobby (it has a pond and lots of greenery), with great breakfast, and relatively easy to reach by public transport. From the airport you can take an Uber or go by train and bus. The event is really well organised with a lot of great details, like games to play next to the ballroom and a separate space for blues. Timing wise they did really well, if I recall correctly everything ran in time. The airco and floor were good, no complaints. Stockholm was about an hour away by public transport so definitely go there for sightseeing if you're in the area. Overall the vibe was really good.

2025 edition

This event is amazing, cosy (quite big though) and focused on social aspect of dancing. I loved the atmosphere and set up of pro shows. Even though it was far from city centre there is enough grocery options nearby.

2026 edition

This was my first swedish event and I'm very enthusiastic about the vibe and openness of the communities at the event. The ED Ibi is very passionate about the event amd tries to maximize the social dancing time at the parties, which is lovely to see. I also really liked that there was a reserved timeslot for open practice. The ballroom has a proper size for the amount of people and very good AC (can get a bit cold when not dancing) The workshops of the Intermediate Track had a good mix of technique, dynamics/musicality and patterns to utilize those things. I will definitely come back next year :)

2025 edition

Very cosy chill event. Comps are there but the focus is more on the fun challange and social dancing!
