The event had a very cozy vibe. In general, I really loved it as the classes were good, music was great most of the time, the food in the restaurant was tasty, for sauna lovers there’s a sauna and a pool. The venue is quite unique and nice, however, I’m not sure if it’s worth the hustle. First of all, it’s in the middle of nowhere, there are no shops nearby so you are kind of forced to stay at the hotel and eat at their restaurant, both of which are quite pricey. Secondly, the event is in winter which, on one hand, is very beautiful in those surroundings with all the snow, but on the other, it was freezing and you had to navigate through 3 different buildings all the time (eating in one, sleeping in another one and classes/party in the third one) so it was quite inconvenient to fully clothe yourself each time you were switching the building. Also, once you enter the party building, you have to take your outdoor shoes and walk on an ice-cold floor to get to the point where you can put on your dancing shoes. So there was a threat to get sick (which I did after coming back). Additionally, later at night the floor would get too sticky due to humidity. Some people would open the door and hold it for too long which was dangerous considering the -17 weather coming in and also resulted in the floor becoming too slippery. Some of the teachers left the party straight away due to that. I did love the “Speed dating with Lauren” where we could get to know each other, and there was also a very nice initiative with envelopes where we could write some nice notes to each other. I would love to come back, but taking into consideration the cost of the hotel and food, it’s a bit too harsh on the wallet. And the 3 building situation is not ideal either. But I don’t regret going and if you’re rich 😅 and not bothered by both cold and constant re-clothing, I’d recommend it!
