Super event lyonnais. Une équipe d'orgas et de bénévoles aux petits soins. 2 grandes salles de social, hautes de plafond, ce qui permet d'éviter la surchauffe. Mon seul regret : trop de compétitions et presque pas de social dancing en parallèle (alors que la salle de marshalling pourrait être coupée en 2 pour accueillir les danseurs sans problème)

Since WSDC events tend to be a bit pricier than standard socials, the organisers have the brilliant idea to come with a €60 one-day beginner pass. It includes 3 workshops + 1 optional all-levels styling session during the qualifiers if that's not your thing. So, if you’ve just started WCS and want to get a feel for what competitions looks like, this is the place to be. I ended up dancing to a lot of funk. This is not something I’m used to, but apparently it’s quite the thing here: Turns out Lyon is actually the French capital of funk music. I didn't need to take one myself, but there is a free shuttle every half hour between 2 and 5 AM to 5 hotels.
